Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 3 monsters with different Attributes from your GY and/or face-up field. Cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can declare 1 monster Attribute on the field; destroy all monsters on the field with that Attribute, also until the end of the next turn, neither player can Special Summon monsters with that Attribute. You can only use this effect of "Archnemeses Protos" once per turn.

Explained
Special Summon it from your hand by banishing 3 monsters with different Attributes from your GY and/or face-up field. It can't be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn, declare an Attribute on the field; destroy all monsters with it, and neither player can Special Summon that Attribute until the end of the next turn.
It can't be used in Advanced Format. It's Forbidden in the TCG.
- Declaring an Attribute no face-up monster has. It must be on the field.
- Thinking the lock fails if nothing was destroyed. It still applies.
Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.
How it works
Summon: Can’t be Normal Summoned/Set. Special Summon it from your hand by banishing 3 monsters with different Attributes from your GY and/or face-up field.
- Continuous: Can’t be destroyed by card effects.
- Ignition (once per turn): Declare 1 Attribute; destroy all monsters on the field with it. Until the end of the next turn, neither player can Special Summon monsters with that Attribute.
Rulings in plain English
Summon: Not an effect; no chain. Banish first, then summon. Once properly summoned, it can be revived by other effects.
Declare: Must be an Attribute of a face-up monster on the field. The summon lock applies as long as the effect isn’t negated, even if nothing is destroyed.
