If this card is Special Summoned during your opponent's turn: Your opponent cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn.

Explained
You can Set it from your hand as a Spell. If that Set card is destroyed on your opponent's turn, it Special Summons itself. When Special Summoned on your opponent's turn, they can't Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of that turn.
It can't be used in Advanced Format. It's Forbidden in the TCG.
Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.
How it works
- Set as a Spell: You can Set this card from your hand to your Spell & Trap Zone.
- From the GY (mandatory): If this Set card is destroyed and sent to your GY during your opponent’s turn, Special Summon it.
- When Special Summoned on your opponent’s turn (mandatory): Your opponent can’t Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn.
Rulings in plain English
Mandatory: Both Trigger Effects must activate, including in the Damage Step.
Who’s locked: The opponent of the player who activated the effect. That doesn’t change if control of Scythe changes afterwards.
