If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card and sent to your GY: You can Special Summon 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.

Explained

What it does

A Rank 6 Xyz, also summonable by sending a "Burning Abyss" monster from your hand and using a "Dante" you control. On either player's turn, detach 1 to send any card from your Deck to the GY. If your opponent destroys it, Special Summon a Burning Abyss from your Extra Deck.

Play it when

It can't be used in Advanced Format. It's Forbidden in the TCG.

Common mistakes
  • Using the detach effect the turn you summoned it on a Dante. You can't, even if its effects are negated.

Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.

How it works

Materials: 2 Level 6 monsters. You can also Xyz Summon it by sending 1 “Burning Abyss” monster from your hand to the GY and using 1 “Dante” monster you control (its materials transfer). If summoned this way, you can’t use its detach effect that turn.

  • Quick Effect (once per turn): Detach 1 material; send 1 card from your Deck to the GY. Not in the Damage Step.
  • From the GY: If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent’s card and sent to your GY, Special Summon 1 “Burning Abyss” monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.

Rulings in plain English

Dante summon: A proper Xyz Summon, not an effect. The “can’t use it this turn” part isn’t an effect either, so it still applies if the card’s effects are negated.

GY effect: Only if you’re its original owner and it was in your control. Can be used in the Damage Step.
