Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand or GY) by banishing 3 EARTH monsters from your hand and/or GY. Rock monsters you control cannot be destroyed, except by battle. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can add up to 3 Rock monsters from your Deck to your hand, whose total Levels equal 8. You can only use this effect of "Block Dragon" once per turn.

Explained
A Level 8 EARTH Rock summoned from your hand or GY by banishing 3 EARTH monsters. Rock monsters you control can't be destroyed except by battle. If it's sent from the field to the GY, add up to 3 Rock monsters whose Levels total 8.
It can't be used in Advanced Format; it's Forbidden in the TCG.
- Reviving it with another card before it was properly summoned. It must be summoned its own way first.
How it works
Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.
Can’t be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned from your hand or GY by banishing 3 EARTH monsters from your hand and/or GY.
- Continuous: Rock monsters you control can’t be destroyed, except by battle.
- If sent from the field to the GY (once per turn): Add up to 3 Rock monsters from your Deck to your hand whose total Levels equal 8 (usable in the Damage Step).
Rulings in plain English
Summon: Not an effect; no Chain. Banish first, then summon; not simultaneous. The banished monsters aren’t banished by an effect. Normally it can only be summoned this way, even after leaving the field. Effects that ignore summoning conditions can summon it, but from the GY or banishment only if it was properly summoned first.
Protection: Covers every face-up Rock you control, itself included.
