How it works
Brilliant Fusion is a Continuous Spell. You can only activate 1 per turn.
- On activation: Fusion Summon 1 “Gem-Knight” Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck using monsters from your Deck as material, but its ATK/DEF become 0.
- If this card leaves the field: Destroy that monster.
- Once per turn (discard 1 Spell): The monster summoned by this card gains ATK/DEF equal to its original ATK/DEF until the end of your opponent’s turn.
Rulings in plain English
Activation: You can’t activate it unless the Fusion Summon can be done. Materials are used first, then the summon; not at the same time. If materials left the Deck but didn’t go to the GY due to another effect, the summon still happens. If Brilliant Fusion isn’t face-up on resolution, nothing happens.
Destroy clause: No chain, and it applies in the Damage Step too.
Discard effect: Main Phase only.
