Explained

What it does

Declare a card name and banish 1 copy from your Main Deck; until the end of the turn, its effects, and the effects of cards with the same original name, are negated for both players.

Play it when

On your opponent's turn to shut off a hand trap or key card you also play, by banishing your own copy from the Deck.

Common mistakes
  • Declaring a card you don't have in your Main Deck. It must be there.
  • Forgetting it also negates your own copies.
  • Playing more than one. It's Limited as of October 2026.

How it works

Crossout Designator is a Quick-Play Spell. Declare 1 card name and banish 1 copy of it from your Main Deck. If you do, until the end of the turn, its effects are negated, along with the activated effects and on-field effects of cards with the same original name. You can only activate 1 per turn.

When to use it

If your opponent is likely to use a common hand trap, and you play a copy too, you can banish yours to stop theirs. It’s Limited in the TCG as of October 2026.

Rulings in plain English

What can I declare? A card currently in your Deck.

Whose cards are affected? Both players’ cards with that name.
