Explained

What it does

If added to your hand except by drawing, Special Summon it. When Normal or Special Summoned, Fusion Summon a "Magistus" or "Invoked" Fusion Monster using monsters from your hand or field. As Fusion Material, it can be treated as "Aleister the Invoker".

Play it when

In Magistus and Invoked decks as a searchable Fusion starter.

Common mistakes
  • Expecting the self-summon after drawing it. It must be added another way.

How it works

  • Continuous: If this face-up card is used as Fusion Material, its name can be treated as “Aleister the Invoker”. It’s then also treated as an “Aleister” monster.
  • If added to your hand, except by drawing: Special Summon this card (usable in the Damage Step).
  • When Normal or Special Summoned: Fusion Summon 1 “Magistus” or “Invoked” Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field. Not in the Damage Step.

Each of the last two effects is once per turn.

Rulings in plain English

Fusion effect: Materials are used first, then the Fusion Monster is summoned; not at the same time. If another effect stops the materials going to the GY, the summon still happens as long as they left the hand or field.

Artemis, the Magistus Moon Maiden, Zoroa, the Magistus Verethragna.
