Explained
Special Summon it from your hand if a "Sinful Spoils" card is in either GY. Your opponent must Set Spells/Traps before activating them. When a Spell/Trap is Set, destroy 1 card you control and 1 your opponent controls.
In Sinful Spoils decks to slow your opponent's Spells and Traps.
- Thinking it stops effects of Spells/Traps already face-up or in the GY. It only stops activating cards without Setting them first.
How it works
- Self-summon (once per turn): If a “Sinful Spoils” card is in either player’s GY, Special Summon this card from your hand.
- Continuous: Your opponent must Set Spell/Trap Cards before activating them.
- Trigger (once per turn): If a Spell/Trap becomes Set on the field while this card is in the Monster Zone, target 1 card you control and 1 card your opponent controls; destroy them. Not in the Damage Step.
Rulings in plain English
Self-summon: If it’s negated, you can try again that turn.
Set first: Your opponent can still activate Set cards, but not cards from the hand. Effects that aren’t card activations (like a face-up Spell’s effect, or an effect used from the GY or banishment) aren’t stopped.
Destroy: If one target is gone at resolution, the other is still destroyed.
