Explained
When Normal Summoned, add a Spellcaster with 1850 ATK from your Deck. Once per turn, target an opponent's face-up monster; they can send a copy of it from their Deck or Extra Deck to negate, otherwise both monsters return to the hand.

- Expecting it to work if either monster left the field before it resolved.
- Using the Quick Effect in the Damage Step.
How it works
- When Normal Summoned: Add 1 Spellcaster monster with 1850 ATK from your Deck to your hand.
- Quick Effect (once per turn): Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Your opponent can send 1 card with that monster’s name from their Deck or Extra Deck to the GY to negate this effect. Otherwise, return both this card and that monster to the hand. Not in the Damage Step.
Rulings in plain English
Both must still be there: If this card or the target is no longer in the Monster Zone when it resolves, nothing happens, and your opponent can’t send a copy either.
Face-down target: If the target was flipped face-down, your opponent can’t send a copy, and both return to the hand.
Unaffected target: If the target isn’t affected by this effect, only this card returns to the hand.
