If you control no face-up cards, choose one: destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls, or destroy all Spells and Traps your opponent controls.
Going second with an empty field, as a flexible one-sided wipe.
- Activating it while you control a face-up card. You can't.
- Expecting it to hit Defense Position monsters.
How it works
Lightning Storm is a Normal Spell. If you control no face-up cards, activate 1 of these:
- Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls.
- Destroy all Spells and Traps your opponent controls.
You can only activate 1 per turn.
When to use it
It’s an opening play going second: pick whichever half of your opponent’s board is the bigger problem.
