Explained
A Level 4 Fusion Tuner of an Extra Deck monster + a Spellcaster. It can also be summoned by sending those materials you control to the GY. Once per turn, when a monster attacks, negate the attack, gain its ATK, and you can return it to the hand.
In Magistus and Spellcaster decks as a defensive Tuner that stops an attack and removes the attacker.
- Expecting the bounce against a 0 ATK attacker. The ATK gain fails, so nothing is returned.
How it works
Materials: 1 Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or Link Monster + 1 Spellcaster monster. It must be Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by sending those materials you control to the GY.
Once per turn: When a monster declares an attack, target it. Negate the attack, and if you do, this card gains that monster’s ATK until the end of the turn. Then you can return that monster to the hand.
When to use it
It’s a Level 4 Tuner that’s easy to make without a Fusion Spell, and it stops one attack per turn while removing the attacker.
Rulings in plain English
Order: Negating and the ATK gain are simultaneous; the bounce comes after.
Extra Deck attackers: Returned to the Extra Deck.
0 ATK attacker: The attack is negated, but no bounce.
Alternative summon: Doesn’t start a chain. You can send face-down cards or Monster Cards in your Spell & Trap Zone, but not Tokens.
