What it does
A Continuous Trap: neither player can Tribute cards. That covers Tribute Summons, Ritual Summons and Tributing to pay for card effects.
Play it when
Against decks that rely on Tributes, as long as your own deck doesn't need them.
Common mistakes
- Thinking it only stops Tribute Summons. Tributes for Ritual Summons and costs are blocked too.
How it works
Mask of Restrict is a Continuous Trap. While it’s face-up, neither player can Tribute cards.
Rulings in plain English
Activation: You can activate it at any time except the Damage Step.
Not an activated effect: The lock simply applies while the card is face-up.
What it stops: Tributes for Tribute Summons, Tributes for Ritual Summons, and Tributes paid as a cost to activate card effects.
