Explained
A Link-2 from 2 Effect Monsters. Target a face-up monster your opponent controls that it points to; this turn, if you Link Summon a Link-5 using this card, you can also use that monster as material.
It can't be used in Advanced Format; it's Forbidden in the TCG.
- Expecting it to work on a monster unaffected by the effect. It applies to the target, so it won't.
How it works
Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.
Materials: 2 Effect Monsters.
- Ignition (once per turn): Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that this card points to. This turn, if you Link Summon a Link-5 monster using this card, you can also use that monster as material.
Rulings in plain English
Activation: Allowed even with no Link-5 in your Extra Deck.
On the target: The effect applies to the targeted monster, so a monster unaffected by it can’t be used. It stops applying if the monster leaves the Monster Zone or is turned face-down.
Used as material: It isn’t treated as leaving the field by an effect. It counts as leaving the field because of you.
