Explained

What it does

A Rank 4 Xyz. Each Standby Phase you must detach a material or destroy it. In Attack Position it can't be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's effects. In face-up Defense Position, all face-up monsters become Defense Position and effects of monsters activated in Defense Position are negated.

Play it when

As a lock in Defense Position that stops monster effects, in decks that make Rank 4s.

Common mistakes

Forgetting the upkeep: no materials at your Standby Phase means it's destroyed.

How it works

Materials: 2 Level 4 monsters.

Upkeep: Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, detach 1 material. If you can’t, destroy it. This isn’t an effect and doesn’t start a chain.
In Attack Position: Can’t be destroyed by your opponent’s card effects, and your opponent can’t target it.
In face-up Defense Position: All face-up monsters on the field change to Defense Position, and the activated effects of monsters that were in Defense Position when activated are negated.

Rulings in plain English

Negation: Applies if the monster was in Defense Position when it activated and Bagooska’s effect applies at resolution.
