You can only use each of the following effects of "Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord" once per turn. ●When an opponent's monster activates its effect (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; negate that monster's effect, and if the detached material was a "Galaxy" card, destroy that card. ●During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can take 1 "Photon" or "Galaxy" card from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or attach it to this card as material.

Explained
A Rank 8 Xyz. With a "Photon" card as material, it can't be destroyed by card effects. It detaches to negate an opponent's monster effect (destroying it if the material was "Galaxy"), and on your opponent's turn adds or attaches a Photon or Galaxy card.
In Galaxy-Eyes and Photon decks as a Rank 8 that negates and refuels itself.
- Using a non-Galaxy material and expecting the destroy. Only the negate happens.
How it works
Materials: 2 Level 8 monsters.
- Continuous: If it has a “Photon” card as material, it can’t be destroyed by card effects.
- Quick Effect: When an opponent’s monster activates its effect, detach 1 material; negate that effect, and if the detached material was a “Galaxy” card, destroy that monster.
- Quick Effect, during your opponent’s turn: Take 1 “Photon” or “Galaxy” card from your Deck and either add it to your hand or attach it to this card as material.
The two Quick Effects are each once per turn and can’t be used in the Damage Step.
