Explained
A Level 8 DARK Spellcaster. Reveal it and a Spell/Trap: until end of next turn, no one can respond to that card's name. If a Spell/Trap effect sends it from hand or field to the GY, Special Summon it. When Special Summoned from the GY, take control of your opponent's highest-ATK monster.
In decks with Spells/Traps that can send it to the GY, to protect key cards and steal a monster.
- Using the control effect with no open Main Monster Zone. You can't activate it.
How it works
- From the hand: Reveal this card and 1 Spell/Trap in your hand; until the end of the next turn, neither player can activate cards or effects in response to the activation of cards, or effects of cards, with that Spell/Trap’s name.
- If sent from the hand or field to the GY by a Spell/Trap effect: Special Summon this card.
- If Special Summoned from the GY: Take control of 1 monster your opponent controls with the highest ATK (your choice if tied).
Each effect is once per turn.
Rulings in plain English
Reveal: If you reveal a Trap that Special Summons itself as a monster, no one can respond to that card’s effects activated in the Monster Zone either.
Revive: Activates in the GY, including during the Damage Step, if a Spell/Trap effect sent it there from your hand or field.
Take control: Usable in the Damage Step. You need an open Main Monster Zone to activate it. At resolution, you take the face-up monster with the highest ATK. If you have no open Main Monster Zone by then, that monster is destroyed instead (not by an effect).
