Your opponent declares a monster Level from 1 to 12. Excavate cards from the top of your Deck until you excavate a monster that can be Normal Summoned/Set, then, if that monster is the same Level as the one declared by your opponent, send all excavated cards to the GY. If not, Special Summon the excavated monster, also send the remaining cards to the GY.

Your opponent declares a Level from 1 to 12. Excavate until you hit a monster that can be Normal Summoned/Set. If it matches the declared Level, send everything to the GY; if not, Special Summon it and send the rest to the GY.
In decks that want a free summon plus cards in the GY.
- Activating it with no Normal Summonable monsters in your Deck. You can't.
How it works
Reasoning is a Normal Spell. Your opponent declares a monster Level from 1 to 12. Excavate cards from the top of your Deck until you excavate a monster that can be Normal Summoned/Set. If its Level matches the declared one, send all excavated cards to the GY. If not, Special Summon that monster and send the rest to the GY.
Rulings in plain English
Timing: The declaration and excavation both happen on resolution. It doesn’t target.
Can’t be Special Summoned? If the excavated monster can’t be Special Summoned, it goes to the GY with the other cards.
Simultaneous: The summon and sending the other cards happen together.
