Explained
What it does
It can't be used as Synchro Material. On the field its name becomes "Des Frog". From your GY, banish 1 "Frog" monster to Special Summon it.
Play it when
It can't be used in Advanced Format: it's Forbidden in the TCG as of the Sept 21, 2026 list.
Common mistakes
- Putting it in an Advanced Format deck. It's Forbidden.
- Using it as Synchro Material. It can't be, even if its effects are negated.
How it works
Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.
- Restriction: Can’t be used as Synchro Material.
- Continuous: Its name becomes “Des Frog” while it’s on the field.
- Ignition, from the GY: Banish 1 “Frog” monster from your GY; Special Summon this card.
Rulings in plain English
Synchro restriction: Not treated as an effect, so it still applies when its effects are negated.
Revive: Banishing the Frog is a cost.
