Sangen Summoning is a Field Spell.

  • Continuous: During your Main Phase 1, FIRE Dragon monsters you control are unaffected by your opponent’s activated effects.
  • Your Main Phase (once per turn): Add 1 “Tenpai Dragon” monster from your Deck to your hand, then discard 1 card.
  • If destroyed during the Battle Phase: Target 1 Dragon Synchro Monster you control; double its ATK.

Rulings in plain English

Protection: Not an activated effect. It applies to your face-up FIRE Dragons; a monster unaffected by Spell effects doesn’t get it.

Search: Add first; only if you did, discard. Not simultaneous.

Destroyed in battle: Can be used in the Damage Step, from wherever the card went: the GY, or banishment if it was banished face-up. The doubled ATK ends if the monster leaves the field or is turned face-down.
