Explained

What it does

A Quick-Play Spell. Set 2 Field Spells with different names from your Deck, 1 on your field and 1 on your opponent's. While either stays Set, neither player can activate or Set other Field Spells.

Play it when

In Field Spell decks to thin the Deck and block your opponent's Field Spell; Limited to 1 copy in the TCG.

Common mistakes
  • Activating it with only 1 Field Spell in your Deck. You need 2 with different names.
  • Thinking the lock ends when one of them is flipped. Both must stop being Set.

How it works

Status: Limited in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so you can run 1 copy.

Set Rotation is a Quick-Play Spell. Set 2 Field Spells with different names from your Deck: 1 on your field and 1 on your opponent’s. While either of them stays Set, neither player can activate or Set other Field Spells.

Rulings in plain English

When can I activate it? When you have 2+ Field Spells with different names in your Deck. Not in the Damage Step.

Simultaneous: Both cards are Set at the same time.

Lock: Lasts as long as at least 1 of the 2 cards is still Set in a Field Zone. It ends once both are gone or no longer Set, such as by being destroyed or flipped and activated.

Only 1 left in the Deck at resolution? Nothing happens.
