Counter Trap
Card text
You can activate this card the turn it was Set, by revealing 1 other face-down Trap you control. When a Spell/Trap Card is activated: You can activate 1 of these effects; ●Pay 1500 LP; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it, and if you do that, neither player can activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original name as that destroyed card for the rest of this turn. ●Pay 3000 LP; negate the activation, and if you do, banish it, then your opponent banishes all cards from their hand and Deck with the same original name as that banished card.

Explained
A Counter Trap. When a Spell/Trap Card is activated, either pay 1500 LP to negate and destroy it and stop both players using that name this turn, or pay 3000 LP to negate and banish it and make your opponent banish all copies from their hand and Deck. Reveal another face-down Trap to activate it the turn it's Set.
Against your opponent's key Spell or Trap, including the turn you Set it if you have another face-down Trap to reveal.
- Chaining it to a Spell/Trap effect that isn't a card activation.
- Forgetting the 1500 LP option stops you using that card name too this turn.
How it works
When a Spell/Trap Card is activated, choose one:
- Pay 1500 LP: Negate the activation and destroy it. For the rest of the turn, neither player can activate cards with that original name or their effects.
- Pay 3000 LP: Negate the activation and banish it, then your opponent banishes all cards with that original name from their hand and Deck.
Same-turn activation: You can activate it the turn it was Set by revealing 1 other face-down Trap you control.
When to use it
The 3000 LP option removes every remaining copy of a card from your opponent’s hand and Deck. It released in the TCG in May 2026.
Rulings in plain English
What does it chain to? Directly to a Spell/Trap Card activation, not to effects activated without activating the card.
Damage Step? Either option can be used.
Same-turn rule: Not an effect; revealing is a cost. Several copies in one chain can reveal the same face-down Trap.
3000 option: Banishing the card and the mass banish aren’t simultaneous.
