Card text
2+ monsters with the same Type, except Tokens If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand in Defense Position to your opponent's zone this card points to (but negate its effects), then you can Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck in Defense Position with the same Type as that monster (but negate its effects). If you Summon from your Deck this way, you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn, except monsters with that same original Type. You can only use this effect of "Summon Sorceress" once per turn.

Explained
A Link-3 from 2+ monsters with the same Type. When Link Summoned, Special Summon a monster from your hand in Defense Position to your opponent's zone it points to, with its effects negated; then you can Special Summon a monster with the same Type from your Deck in Defense Position, also with its effects negated. If you do the Deck summon, you can only Special Summon monsters with that same original Type for the rest of the turn.
In decks built around one Type, to pull monsters from the Deck; Limited to 1 copy in the TCG.
- Using Tokens as material. They can't be used.
- Expecting the summoned monsters' effects. Both the hand monster and the Deck monster have their effects negated.
- Forgetting the lock. After a Deck summon, you can only Special Summon monsters with that monster's original Type for the rest of the turn.
- Expecting the Deck summon without the hand summon. If no monster is summoned from your hand to your opponent's side, nothing else happens.
How it works
Status: Limited in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so you can run 1 copy.
Materials: 2 or more monsters with the same Type, except Tokens.
When Link Summoned (once per turn): Special Summon 1 monster from your hand in Defense Position to your opponent’s zone this card points to, but negate its effects. Then you can Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck in Defense Position with the same Type as that monster, also with its effects negated. If you summon from your Deck this way, you can’t Special Summon for the rest of the turn, except monsters with that same original Type.
Rulings in plain English
Effect type: A Trigger Effect, activated in the Monster Zone.
Order: The hand summon happens first. Only if it works can you then summon from your Deck, and the two summons don’t happen at the same time.
Summon lock: It only applies if the Deck summon actually happened. From then until the end of the turn, you can only Special Summon monsters whose original Type matches the monster you summoned from your Deck.
No zone available: If there’s no usable Main Monster Zone on your opponent’s side that this card points to when the effect resolves, nothing happens at all.
When to use it
It’s a Link Summon that turns into two more bodies, as long as you have a monster in hand to hand over to your opponent. Since both monsters lose their effects and you’re locked to one Type afterward, it fits best in decks built around a single Type that use the Deck monster as material.
