- Activating it when the monster effect was negated. The condition only counts activations that weren't negated.
- Choosing the steal option with no free Main Monster Zone.
- Playing more than 1. It's Limited in the TCG as of October 2026.
How it works
Triple Tactics Talent is a Normal Spell. If your opponent has activated a monster effect during your Main Phase this turn, activate one of these:
- Draw 2 cards.
- Take control of 1 monster your opponent controls until the End Phase.
- Look at your opponent’s hand and choose 1 card from it to shuffle into the Deck.
You can only activate 1 “Triple Tactics Talent” per turn.
When to use it
It turns your opponent’s interaction against them. Once they’ve used a monster effect during your Main Phase, like a hand trap, you can pick whichever option helps most: more cards, a monster for the turn, or removing a card from their hand.
Rulings in plain English
How do I choose? Pick one option when you activate it.
What meets the condition? Your opponent activating a monster effect during your Main Phase this turn, without that activation being negated.
Draw 2: Needs at least 2 cards in your Deck.
Take control: Needs your opponent to have a monster and you to have a usable Main Monster Zone. You choose the zone. If none is free at resolution, nothing happens. When control returns in the End Phase, your opponent chooses the zone, and that doesn’t start a chain.
Hand option: Needs your opponent to have cards in hand.
