Going second against an Extra Deck boss, as removal that monster effects can't stop.
- Activating it with no matching monster type to send from your Extra Deck.
How it works
Ultimate Slayer is a Normal Spell. Your opponent can’t activate monster effects in response to its activation. Send 1 monster from your Extra Deck to the GY as the cost, then target 1 monster your opponent controls with the same card type (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum or Link) and shuffle it into the Deck.
Rulings in plain English
When can I activate it? When your opponent has a face-up Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum or Link Monster, and you can send a matching type.
Hybrid types: A Fusion/Pendulum sent lets you target either a Fusion or a Pendulum (and similarly for other hybrids).
No-response rule: Not an effect.
