If this card is placed in the Spell & Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell: You can send 1 "Angelechy" card from your Deck to the GY. You can only use each of the preceding effects of "Angelechy Castellan" once per turn. While this card is treated as a Continuous Spell, each player can only activate 1 card or effect per Chain.

Explained

What it does

A Level 7 Angelechy Synchro that banishes an opponent's monster in an adjacent column, or a card in their Spell & Trap Zone two columns away. Placed as a Continuous Spell, it sends an "Angelechy" card from your Deck to the GY, and while it's a Spell each player can only activate 1 card or effect per chain.

Play it when

In Angelechy decks, placed as a Spell to fuel your Graveyard and stop your opponent from chaining several cards to protect their plays.

Common mistakes
  • Picking a target in the wrong column. Monsters must be in an adjacent column; Spell/Traps must be 2 columns away.
  • Forgetting the 1-per-chain limit applies to you too.

How it works

Materials: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuners.

  • As a monster: Target 1 of your opponent’s monsters in an adjacent column, or 1 card in your opponent’s Spell & Trap Zone two columns away, and banish it.
  • When placed as a Continuous Spell: Send 1 “Angelechy” card from your Deck to the GY.
  • While it’s a Continuous Spell: Each player can only activate 1 card or effect per chain.

Each of the first two effects is once per turn.

When to use it

Angelechy Extra Deck monsters do one thing as a monster and another when placed in your Spell & Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell, which other Angelechy cards like Angelechy Problem and Angelechy Opening to e4 do. The chain limit stops your opponent from stacking responses, and sending a card to the GY can set up Angelechy GY effects like Angelechy Strategy Score’s.
