Explained

What it does

A Level 10 DARK Angelechy Synchro. When Special Summoned, each player can Special Summon 1 Fairy Synchro Monster from their Extra Deck with its effects negated. If an "Angelechy" monster attacks it, the attack is negated and control of it goes to the opponent.

Play it when

In Angelechy decks to bring out another Fairy Synchro, and to move this card to your opponent's side when it suits your Angelechy strategy.

Common mistakes
  • Using the summoned monsters for Xyz or Link Summons. Neither Seneschal nor the summoned monsters can be used that way.
  • Expecting the summoned monster's effects. They're negated.

How it works

Materials: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuners.

  • When Special Summoned: Each player can Special Summon 1 Fairy Synchro Monster from their Extra Deck, with its effects negated. Seneschal and those monsters can’t be used as Xyz or Link Material, and return to the Extra Deck when they leave the field.
  • When targeted by an Angelechy attack: If an “Angelechy” monster targets this card for an attack, negate that attack, and if you do, give control of this card to your opponent.

Each effect is once per turn.

When to use it

Seneschal adds a second Synchro body, which can be useful as material for another Synchro Summon. Its second effect lets an Angelechy deck move Seneschal across the field, which ties into other Angelechy cards that care about monsters on your opponent’s side, such as Angelechy Opposition.

Other Angelechy cards: Angelechy Problem (Field Spell), Angelechy Opening to e4, Angelechy Shatranga, Angelechy Bastion.
