You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by sending 1 Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck to the GY. If Summoned this way, you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Rank 4 Xyz Monsters. You can only Special Summon "Ext Ryzeal" once per turn this way. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned and you control no other face-up monsters, except Level/Rank 4 monsters: You can add 1 FIRE Thunder monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Ext Ryzeal" once per turn.

Explained

What it does

Special Summon it from your hand by sending an Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck to the GY (then only Rank 4 Xyz from the Extra Deck). When Normal or Special Summoned with no other face-up monsters except Level/Rank 4, add a FIRE Thunder monster from your Deck.

Play it when

In Ryzeal decks as a Limited card (1 copy): a free summon that searches toward Rank 4 plays.

Common mistakes
  • Forgetting the Rank 4 Xyz-only restriction after using its self-summon.

How it works

Status: Limited in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so you can run 1 copy.

  • Self-summon (once per turn): Special Summon this card from your hand by sending 1 Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck to the GY. If you do, for the rest of the turn you can only Special Summon Rank 4 Xyz Monsters from the Extra Deck.
  • When Normal or Special Summoned (once per turn): If you control no other face-up monsters except Level/Rank 4 monsters, add 1 FIRE Thunder monster from your Deck to your hand.

Rulings in plain English

Self-summon: No chain. Send the Xyz first, then summon; not simultaneous. The sent card isn’t sent by an effect. The restriction starts as soon as the summon succeeds, and you can still use this summon on a turn you already summoned other monsters from the Extra Deck. If the summon is negated, you can try again that turn.

Search: Can be used in the Damage Step. The field condition only has to be true when you activate it, not at the moment it was summoned.
