Explained
When Normal or Special Summoned, discard 1 card to Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster using monsters on either field, including this card, but no other monsters you control.
As the core of Albaz and Branded decks, using your opponent's monsters as the other Fusion Materials.
- Using your own other monsters as material. Only Albaz plus your opponent's monsters.
- Using it during the Damage Step.
How it works
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned (except during the Damage Step), discard 1 card to Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters on either field as material, including this card. You can’t use other monsters you control. Once per turn.
When to use it
It removes your opponent’s monsters as Fusion Material, which gets past destruction and targeting protection. Many Fusion Monsters list “Fallen of Albaz” + a broad material.
Rulings in plain English
Does it target? No. Discarding is the cost.
Materials and summon: Not simultaneous. If materials go elsewhere than the GY, the summon still happens.
Face-down monsters: This card can be used face-down; your opponent’s face-down monsters can’t.
