Explained
If your opponent controls more monsters than you, Special Summon it from your hand. During the Main Phase, Tribute it to Special Summon a "Swordsoul" monster or "Fallen of Albaz" from your hand or Deck. In the End Phase, if a Fusion was sent to your GY, you can return it to your hand.
In Fallen of Albaz and Swordsoul decks, often going second, to summon Albaz from the Deck on either player's Main Phase.
- Summoning it from the hand when your opponent doesn't control more monsters.
How it works
- Self-summon: If your opponent controls more monsters than you, Special Summon it from your hand (once per turn this way).
- Quick Effect (Main Phase): Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 “Swordsoul” monster or 1 “Fallen of Albaz” from your hand or Deck.
- End Phase: If a Fusion Monster was sent to your GY this turn, you can add this card from the GY to your hand.
Each of the last two effects is once per turn.
When to use it
Turning Ecclesia into Albaz on your opponent’s Main Phase sets up Fusions on their turn. It can return to your hand in turns where you use Fusion Monsters.
Rulings in plain English
Self-summon: Doesn’t start a chain.
Return: Works even if Ecclesia wasn’t in the GY when the Fusion Monster was sent, or that Fusion left the GY.
