- Setting it with the no-Tribute rule. It must be summoned face-up in Attack Position.
How it works
Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.
- No-Tribute summon: If your opponent has 2 or more cards in their hand, you can Normal Summon it without Tributing.
- When Normal Summoned: Special Summon 1 non-Machine “K9” monster from your Deck. While you control that face-up monster, you can’t Special Summon from the Extra Deck except “K9” monsters.
- Ignition: Send 1 face-up “K9” card you control to the GY; look at your opponent’s hand.
The last two effects are each once per turn.
Rulings in plain English
No-Tribute summon: Not an Ignition, Trigger, Quick or Continuous Effect. It’s a face-up Attack Position summon only; you can’t Set it this way.
Summon effect: A Trigger Effect. The Extra Deck lock lasts as long as the summoned monster stays face-up on your field.
