Explained
A Link-2 from 2 monsters with different names. When Link Summoned on your turn, discard 1 card to get an extra Normal Summon to a zone it points to, and draw 1 if it was co-linked. Your co-linked monsters can't be targeted by card effects.
It can't be used in Advanced Format. It's Forbidden in the TCG.
- Expecting the effect to Normal Summon right away. It only lets you Normal Summon later in your Main Phase.
- Stacking it with another extra Normal Summon effect. Only one can apply per turn.
How it works
Status: Forbidden in the TCG (Sept 21, 2026 list), so it can’t be used in Advanced Format.
Materials: 2 monsters with different names.
- When Link Summoned during your turn (once per turn): Discard 1 card. If this card was co-linked when the effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. Also, during your Main Phase this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 monster from your hand to a zone this card points to, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.
- Continuous: Neither player can target co-linked monsters you control with card effects.
Rulings in plain English
Activation: A Trigger Effect; the discard is a cost. You can’t activate it on your opponent’s turn, or if another Knightmare Goblin’s effect is already applying that turn.
Draw: Optional, and only if it was co-linked when activated.
Extra Normal Summon: The effect itself doesn’t summon. Later in your Main Phase you can use either the extra Normal Summon or your regular one first. Summoning with it doesn’t start a chain; tell your opponent you’re using it. If several effects grant extra Normal Summons, only one can apply per turn.
