Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material.
In Fusion decks whose Fusion Monsters you can make from cards in your hand or on the field.
- Using monsters from your Deck or GY. Polymerization only uses your hand or field.
- Thinking the materials and summon happen at once. Materials are used first, then the Fusion Monster is summoned.
How it works
Polymerization is a Normal Spell: Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material.
When to use it
It’s the original Fusion card, released in the TCG in 2002. Many Fusion decks play newer Fusion Spells built for their strategy, but Polymerization works with any Fusion Monster whose materials you have in hand or on the field. See how to Fusion Summon.
Rulings in plain English
Are the materials and the summon simultaneous? No. The materials are used first, then the Fusion Monster is summoned.
What if an effect sends the materials somewhere other than the GY? The summon still happens, as long as they left the hand or field.
