Explained

What it does

A Fusion of 2 DARK monsters on the field (not Tokens). When Fusion Summoned it can gain an opponent's Special Summoned monster's ATK. Once per turn it copies the name and effects of an opponent's Level 5+ monster. If it's destroyed, it destroys all your opponent's Special Summoned monsters.

Play it when

In DARK Fusion decks as a flexible boss that punishes removal by destroying your opponent's summoned monsters.

Common mistakes
  • Using Tokens as material. They can't be used.
  • Expecting copied GY effects to work. Only effects used in the Monster Zone work.

How it works

Materials: 2 DARK monsters on the field, except Tokens.

  • When Fusion Summoned: Gain ATK equal to 1 of your opponent’s Special Summoned monsters until the end of the turn.
  • Once per turn: Target 1 Level 5 or higher monster your opponent controls. Until the End Phase, this card’s name becomes that monster’s original name, and this effect is replaced with its original effects.
  • If this Fusion Summoned card is destroyed: Destroy all your opponent’s Special Summoned monsters.

When to use it

Its destruction effect makes removing it costly for your opponent. Copying a monster’s effects can turn your opponent’s best monster against them.

Rulings in plain English

ATK gain: You choose the monster at resolution and gain its current ATK.

Copy: Can target a Normal Monster, not a Token. If the target isn’t face-up at resolution, nothing happens. Copied effects that activate in the GY can’t be used.

Destroy effect: Works if it’s destroyed in the Monster Zone and sent to the GY or banished face-up, even if it had been flipped face-down or temporarily banished after its Fusion Summon. Usable in the Damage Step.
