Sunday wrapped up YCS Houston 2026 with both Main Event champions crowned, and the final part of the Forbidden & Limited List reveals.
Advanced Main Event: Trevor Parker is your champion
Trevor Parker from Richmond, Virginia won the Advanced Main Event with his Dark Magician Deck built around Light and Darkness Ritual, defeating Blake Funderburke in the finals. Parker takes home an Ultra Rare Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning Prize Card and the YCS trophy.
The finals were an Elfnote versus Light and Darkness Ritual matchup, and it was a long one: the stream showed Parker taking game one, Funderburke evening the match in game two with Elfnote Power Patron, Fortuna and Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, and Parker closing it out in game three.
The Top 8 had six different decks across four archetypes. Jamie Hunter from the United Kingdom entered as the top seed after Swiss with a 13-1 record on Angelechy, but fell to 16-year-old Dylan Dallmeyer of Carmine, Texas — playing in only his second-ever YCS — in a mirror match covered on the blog. Funderburke beat Roberto Hernandez Bonilla’s Angelechy, Parker got through Brian Mejia in a Light and Darkness Ritual mirror, and Julien Kehon faced Steven Trifunoski’s Power Patron Elfnote. On the stream, Funderburke came through a semifinal against Trifunoski that was an Elfnote versus Power Patron Elfnote match, while Parker advanced past Kehon.
Genesys Main Event: Enzo Fiallos takes the trophy
The Genesys Main Event ended with Enzo Fiallos winning as the number eight seed. According to the stream coverage, Fiallos played Blitzclique and defeated the number one seed, Juan Andrade, in the finals — a matchup between the two most popular decks of the weekend in that format. Blitzclique reached the finals after Fiallos beat top seed Sam Arunnaveesiri’s Fairy Tale deck in the Top 8 on stream.
Dragon Duel champion
Vincent F. won the YCS Houston Dragon Duel Championship, earning a Super Rare Number 93: Utopia Kaiser and the Dragon Duel trophy.
