Explained
A Level 7 DARK Spellcaster Normal Monster with 2500 ATK and 2100 DEF. It has no effect, but a whole family of cards supports it.
In Dark Magician decks, where support cards summon it, search it, and use it as material for Fusions like Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.
- Trying to Normal Summon it without Tributes. As a Level 7, it needs 2.
How it works
Dark Magician is a Normal Monster: Level 7, DARK, Spellcaster, 2500 ATK, 2100 DEF. Its text reads as flavor and has no effect.
As a Level 7, a Normal Summon needs 2 Tributes. Most decks Special Summon it with support cards instead. See every way to summon a monster.
Why it matters
Dark Magician was Yugi’s signature monster in the original series and part of the first TCG release in March 2002. Dozens of cards mention it by name, which is why it’s still played.
