2 Fiend monsters with the same Attribute If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can send 1 Fiend monster from your Deck to the GY. Explained

What it does

A Level 6 Fusion Monster made from 2 Fiend monsters with the same Attribute. When Fusion Summoned, send 1 Fiend from your Deck to the GY. From the GY, banish 2 Level 6 or higher Fiends with the same Attribute (not Aerial Eater) to Special Summon it. Each effect once per turn.

Play it when

In Fiend decks that want a specific Fiend in the GY, and that have big Fiends in the GY to banish so they can bring it back.

Common mistakes
  • Trying to revive it after sending it from the Extra Deck straight to the GY. It has to be properly Summoned first.
  • Banishing two Fiends with different Attributes. They must share one.
  • Banishing another Aerial Eater as one of the two. It can't be used.

How it works

Aerial Eater is a Level 6 WIND Fiend Fusion Monster. It needs 2 Fiend monsters with the same Attribute as materials.

  • When Fusion Summoned: send 1 Fiend monster from your Deck to the GY.
  • From the GY: banish 2 Level 6 or higher Fiend monsters with the same Attribute as each other (except “Aerial Eater”) from your GY to Special Summon this card.
  • You can only use each effect once per turn.

When to use it

The first effect lets you put any Fiend from your Deck into the GY, which is useful when that Fiend has an effect that works from the GY. Once your GY has big Fiends in it, the second effect brings Aerial Eater back as a free body for more plays.

Ban list status

At YCS Houston 2026 (October 16), Konami announced that Aerial Eater goes to Forbidden on the next TCG list. See every reveal so far. It stays Unlimited until the new list takes effect; this card’s page always shows its current status.

Rulings in plain English

What kind of effect is the Deck-to-GY effect? A Trigger Effect that activates in the Monster Zone when it’s Fusion Summoned.

What kind of effect is the GY effect? An Ignition Effect, so you activate it in your Main Phase while the card is in the GY.

Can I use the GY effect if I sent Aerial Eater from my Extra Deck straight to the GY? No. It has to have been properly Special Summoned once before it went to the GY.
