"Dark Magician" + 1 LIGHT or DARK monster Must be either Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) during the turn a Spell Card or effect is activated, by banishing 1 Level 6 or higher DARK Spellcaster monster you control as material. You can only Special Summon "Dark Magician of Destruction" once per turn this way, no matter which method you use. This card's name becomes "Dark Magician" while on the field or in the GY. If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Dark Magician" or 1 card that mentions it from your Deck to your hand.

Explained
A Fusion of "Dark Magician" + a LIGHT or DARK monster. It can also be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by banishing a Level 6+ DARK Spellcaster during a turn a Spell was activated. Its name becomes "Dark Magician" on the field and in the GY, and when Special Summoned it searches Dark Magician or a card that mentions it.
In Dark Magician decks as an extra Dark Magician that also searches support.

- Reviving it with another card. It can only be summoned by its own methods.
How it works
Materials: “Dark Magician” + 1 LIGHT or DARK monster.
Summoning: Must be Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned from your Extra Deck, during a turn a Spell Card or effect was activated, by banishing 1 Level 6 or higher DARK Spellcaster you control. You can only Special Summon it once per turn either way.
- Its name becomes “Dark Magician” while on the field or in the GY.
- When Special Summoned: Add 1 “Dark Magician” or 1 card that mentions it from your Deck to your hand.
When to use it
Because it counts as Dark Magician, it works with cards that need Dark Magician on the field or in the GY.
Rulings in plain English
Alternative summon: Not an effect, so it doesn’t start a chain. Only in your Main Phase, during a turn either player activated a Spell effect that wasn’t negated. The banished monster can be face-down. Banishing and summoning aren’t simultaneous.
Revival: Not possible with other cards, even after being summoned properly.
Search: Usable in the Damage Step.
