Explained

What it does

A Level 10 Synchro that can treat your center-zone monster as a Tuner. When Synchro Summoned, negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent controls. Its Quick Effect stops opposing monsters in the same column as your Elfnote monsters being used as material this turn.

Play it when

In Elfnote and Power Patron decks as a board-breaker on summon.

Common mistakes
  • Using the material lock when no opposing monster shares a column with your Elfnote monsters.

How it works

Materials: 1 Tuner + 2 non-Tuners. For its Synchro Summon, you can treat 1 monster in your center Main Monster Zone as a Tuner.

  • When Synchro Summoned: Negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent controls.
  • Quick Effect (once per turn): Until the end of the turn, monsters your opponent controls in the same column as your “Elfnote” monsters can’t be used as Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or Link Material.

When to use it

Junoldo the Shadespirit Power Patron and Elfnote Power Patron can both summon it.

Rulings in plain English

Negate: Applies to all face-up cards your opponent controls at resolution.

Material lock: Affects even face-down monsters in those columns. It ends for a monster that leaves or flips face-down, but not if your Elfnote leaves. Doesn’t affect monsters that arrive later. Not in the Damage Step.
