How it works
- When Normal or Special Summoned, or Tributed: Target 1 “Mitsurugi” card in your GY or banishment, except “Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Kusanagi”; add it to your hand.
- Replacement: If another Reptile monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can Tribute this card instead.
Each effect is once per turn.
Rulings in plain English
First effect: A Trigger Effect usable in the Damage Step. If Tributed, it activates where it was first sent (GY, or face-up banishment).
Replacement: No chain. In battle you decide during damage calculation and Tribute it after. One Tribute can save several Reptiles destroyed at the same time by an effect.
