Explained
A Fusion of 3 "Artmage" monsters, or Special Summoned in Defense Position by Tributing 3 monsters with different Types. With a card in the Field Zone, it can't be destroyed by effects. Once per turn, when you activate an Artmage monster's effect, it changes that effect to "Destroy all cards your opponent controls".
In Artmage and Power Patron decks: summon it from 3 different Types, then turn your next Artmage effect into a board wipe.
- Using it in the Damage Step.
How it works
Materials: 3 “Artmage” monsters. It must be Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned from your Extra Deck in Defense Position by Tributing 3 monsters with different Types. You can only Special Summon it once per turn.
- Continuous: While a card is in the Field Zone, it can’t be destroyed by card effects.
- Quick Effect (once per turn): When you activate an “Artmage” monster’s effect, make that effect become “Destroy all cards your opponent controls”.
When to use it
Nervedo the Shadebeast Power Patron can summon it directly. Then any Artmage effect becomes a field wipe.
Rulings in plain English
Rewrite: You activate it after your opponent passes on responding to the Artmage effect. It works even if your opponent has no cards. Not in the Damage Step.
Tribute summon: Not an effect, doesn’t start a chain, and isn’t a Fusion Summon, though the monsters are Tributed as material. Face-down monsters count.
