Against decks that rely on effects activated in the Graveyard.
- Using it on effects activated anywhere other than your opponent's GY.
- Using it in the Damage Step. It can't be activated then.
How it works
Skull Meister is a hand trap. When a card effect is activated in your opponent’s GY, send Skull Meister from your hand to the GY to negate that effect.
When to use it
It’s a narrow answer: it only cares about effects activated in the Graveyard. Against decks built around Graveyard effects, that can be exactly what you need. It’s unrestricted in the TCG as of October 2026.
Rulings in plain English
What does it chain to? Directly to a Spell, Trap or monster effect activated in your opponent’s GY.
Can I use it in the Damage Step? No.
