Explained
When your opponent activates a monster effect on the field, negate it; then if you have a Trap in your GY, you can add a "Dominus" card from your Deck. If you have no monsters in your GY, you can activate it from your hand, but then you can't activate hand, GY or banished monster effects until the end of next turn.
As a hand-activated negation on your opponent's first turn, when your GY has no monsters yet.
- Activating it from the hand with a monster in your GY.
- Forgetting the hand activation stops your hand traps and GY effects until the end of your next turn.
How it works
When your opponent activates a monster effect on the field, negate that effect. Then, if you have a Trap in your GY, you can add 1 “Dominus” card from your Deck to your hand.
Hand activation: If you have no monsters in your GY, you can activate it from your hand. If you do, you can’t activate the effects of monsters in your hand, GY or banishment until the end of the next turn. You can only activate 1 per turn.
When to use it
Early in a duel your GY is usually empty, so it works as a hand trap. The restriction limits your own hand traps and GY effects for a while afterward.
Rulings in plain English
What does it chain to? Directly to a monster effect your opponent activates on the field.
Order: Negate; if that works and you have a Trap in your GY, you can search. Not simultaneous.
Does the restriction apply if the negation fails? Yes, if activated from the hand and not negated.
Damage Step? No.
