The current TCG Forbidden & Limited List took effect on September 21, 2026, replacing the May 18, 2026 list. It makes 21 changes: 8 cards are newly Forbidden, 2 newly Limited, 1 newly Semi-Limited and 10 are now Unlimited. Mind Master and Elder Entity Norden only became Unlimited on September 28, 2026, and stayed Forbidden until then. Konami did not publish reasons for the changes. For what each card does and how the format has reacted, see our full breakdown in the articles section.
