Invoked is a Fusion deck built around Aleister and the Invocation Spells, now backed by Hyperinvoked Aeon and a pile of Quick-Play Spells. It won five regionals in the first week of the September 2026 list, including the roughly 250-player Catskill event, and sits in the tier-2 group.
How the deck works
The monster count is low. Most of the deck is Spells that either find Aleister or Fusion Summon with him.
Aleister the Invoker searches Invocation when Normal Summoned. Aleister the Reminiscent Special Summons itself from the hand by targeting a Spellcaster or Fusion Monster, then banishes an Invoked monster from the Extra Deck to search Invocation or a Spell that mentions it. Aiwass, Divine Spirit of the Law banishes itself from the hand or field to add an Aleister; from the field it also gives you an extra Normal Summon for a Spellcaster. Magical Meltdown adds Aleister the Invoker when activated, and Sacred Spirit Sword Aiwass can summon Aiwass from the Deck or GY.
Once Aleister is down, the Fusion Spells take over. Invocation uses monsters from your hand, and for an Invoked Fusion it can also banish monsters from your field or either GY as material, so your opponent’s monsters often end up as material. Invocation - “Sword” is the Quick-Play version that uses monsters you control and can return banished monsters to the GY as material. Super Polymerization uses monsters from either field and cannot be responded to. While Magical Meltdown is face-up, the activation of your Fusion effects cannot be negated and your opponent cannot respond to those Fusion Summons.
The main finisher is Hyperinvoked Aeon, made from two or more Fusion Monsters with different Attributes. When Fusion Summoned it banishes cards from the field and GYs equal to the number of materials, and with three or more materials it also banishes up to three cards from your opponent’s Extra Deck. The other Invoked Fusions fill in: Invoked Augoeides destroys a monster, Invoked Sorath revives from either GY and can Fusion Summon again from the GY, Invoked Baybarron searches Virakam, the Divine Spirit of Artifice or Gamma Summon, and Invoked Raidjin flips a monster face-down on either turn. If one of your Fusions goes to the GY, Aiwass revives itself from the GY and Fusion Summons again.
The rest of the Spell line is for the second turn. Forbidden Droplet negates and halves opposing monsters, and Triple Tactics Thrust sets a Normal Spell or Trap from the Deck once the opponent has used a monster effect. Radiant Typhoon Vision draws two and discards a Quick-Play Spell, which this deck has plenty of, or fetches Mystical Space Typhoon.
Key cards

Invoked made 13 regional top 8s before Beyond the Brave and one in the first weekend after it, from a small number of events.
Strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- Invocation and Super Polymerization can use the opponent’s monsters as material, which gets around effects that only stop destruction or targeting.
- Magical Meltdown protects the Fusion Summons themselves.
- Hyperinvoked Aeon removes cards from the field, the GYs and the opponent’s Extra Deck in one effect.
- The Spell-heavy build has a lot of cards that work on the second turn, such as Forbidden Droplet and Super Polymerization.
Weaknesses
- Almost everything starts with getting Aleister. The searches from Aleister, Reminiscent and Aiwass can be stopped, and the deck has few other ways to begin.
- With so few monsters, a hand without Aleister or a way to find him can stall.
- Several pieces use the GY (Aiwass’s revival, Sword’s recursion, Invocation’s GY effect), so heavy GY banishing slows the grind.
What to watch
- Invoked put up fewer results in the first weekend with Beyond the Brave legal. YCS Houston (October 16-18) will show whether it holds its spot.
- Toon support arrives with Magnificent Maestros in mid-November and is expected to change the format.
